So my friend you are one of the few who make it look so easy, even though I know it's wasn't. Any tips for any of our ones still trying?

Well, the thing that helped me the most above everything else was God/my church. I will agree with you there, the beginning was ROUGH. Very very rough. But once I finally gave myself over to God and decided to let him help me instead of being stubborn and trying to do everything myself I was a lot happier and my burdens were lightened. I prayed A LOT during the early stages of recovery. If anyone wants to know more about my religion or my church, please do not hesitate to ask. It truly was the main thing that helped me get over my addiction...

I can honestly say that my addiction is now non existant and life is a breeze. I hardly ever think about alcohol and now when things get tough and I want to do something drastic I basically never consider drinking. Its so funny how different my life is and how much I have changed in just a year. Giving up alcohol was the BEST thing I have ever done in my life and I will never, ever regret it. To this day, I still sometimes forget that I used to be an alcoholic cos I just never think about it anymore.

Sure, I'd love to post my story on the Tavern Done. Probably not tonight but I will do it
