i find the somking ban a good thing.. when you look at it, it's cutting down second hand smoke, fewer and fewer people are dying from smoking now, and more people will and might be able to quit somking. plus i for one am glad this smoking ban is taking place cause i no longer have to deal with people at restaurants smoking

(i'm not saying i hate people who smoke i just can't satnd the smeel of it and getting it on my clothes)

BUT.... people who hate the smoking ban are turning it around and saying "well what about people who drink"

thats a different topic. and the people who drink aren't blowing smoke thank can make you chock.. and the tobacoo companies are saying that they are coming out with healtheir cigerets.. there is NO such thing as a health cigeret.. you can do everything in the lab and you will still have the same cigeret that causes second hand smoke..

ok, i'm done ranting.. lol

Ahh. I hate the smoking ban. I think its alienating our natural freedoms. If you don't like the smell of smoke, you can choose to or not to go to resteraunts that allow smoking. You can choose, or you can choose not to hang out or around people that smoke. Also, it's common sense that there are NO healthy cigarettes. It's someone's right to choose to smoke, if they want to kill their bodies, let them.

Yea but it's a common fact that 2nd hand smoke is worse than for the actual smoker themselves. So because you want to smoke and kill yourself why should I have to either take in your smoke or not go to a restaurant, beach or wherever that I want to go to? Your bad habits become mine because of natural freedoms? I disagree, I should be able to go to a restaurant, mall etc. and breathe natural air if I so shall choose.
Why should smokers take that choice away from me?

Smoke makes me physically sick if I am around it too long, my step dad had to quit smoking, I had to quit a job before the smoking ban came around, it brings up my asthma back up, it gives me headaches, etc. I see nothing wrong with having smokers smoke only in certain places. I have nothing against smokers most of my friends smoke, but I don't want to always have to be around it, and I don't want my clothes and hair to smell like it.

I think it infringes on private businesses to decide what they want in their space. If people want a smoke free bar/restaurant....they will go to those places. They should let the people decide what they want, and not tell them what they should want.
