I'm going to make my little lecture once again.......

I was just reading through these posts.

Not much I can say because I've ALWAYS been the girl
who didn't get check ups, who lied to her doctors,
said I "Just" had a pap smear, didn't do breast exams,
didn't need health check ups. Just like most of you girls on here.

I read someone on here say they would rather risk having cancer
than get a smear done. I used to think the same way.

I PROMISE you, that is not true. I know the tests are gross,
disgusting, scary, whatever else. But they are so worth it.

You don't want to end up in an emergency room because
"You have to go", then you will have no choice on the matter.
Waiting to find out what your diagnosis is, is maddening and
not worth ignoring your body.

Take charge of yourself and your health, it is silly not too.
By hiding from it, you are not going to make anything go away.

A pap smear is over and done with in less than a minute literally.
A breast exam takes two minutes.

Ladies you are worth taking care of yourself, grab a friend
and hold each other accountable for each other if it helps.
Going together makes it easier, or having someone go with you
helps.


For those of you who don't know how or where to go, Walk into
or call Planned Parenthood, they are great and will help you.

Please start taking your health more seriously, because you never
know.

Why?

I know it's tough the things us girls have to go through but
we HAVE to be proactive in our health! WE have to.

I never said I wasn't pro active when it comes to my health, I just have a different opinion when it comes to taking care of it.
