Going to get these check ups isn't my favorite thing to do, but it's something that is very important.

I know they're horrible to go through but please if you're 18 or over please go and make sure you're checked out. I have a student who is 18 and pregnant and she just found out she also has cervical cancer. Unfortunately, it's one of those disease that isn't age specific.

Lord knows no girl likes these exams, but really they are detrimental to your health, especially if you have an active sex life. It's better to prepare and protect yourself now, than to find out later in life you've developed cancer.

I thought tests for cervical cancer were mainly only if you are sexually active? It doesn't determine age does it? I dunno, maybe my sources are wrong.

I don't care. I would much rather risk having cancer. I know that sounds dumb but I have a BIIGGGGG huge phobia of anyone going near my nether regions.

Nothing and no one is going up my vagina or butt.

End of story.

Hu?? No, I think only your birth certificate can do that. I don't think paps can determine your age. You know your age anyways don't you?

I'm a hypocrite, because I'm kind of the same way, but what about going to Planned Parenthood, or going with a friend, or even if worse comes to worse taking an ativan or something.

I had a best friend whose sister was stubborn and wouldn't go to the doctor, she finally did when the lump on her breast was too painful to ignore, they diagnosed her with 5 different types of cancer and she died within the next few years. They could have stopped the cancer if she would have gone in for a checkup or anything, but the pure neglect they point blank told her caused her, her life. It was sad. She left two kids behind.

If you talk to them at Planned Parenthood and tell them what you said here, they are really good about it. They are used to dealing with those issues.
They really aren't that bad, I used to make my sister get them and I would be in the room with her, and we would end up laughing the whole time, it's done and over with before you know it..
The thought of getting them, is the worst part, and the process of it, the prep part.

I meant like because Chy said if you are 18 or over you need to get a pap test done but I thought it didn't matter how old you are as long as you are sexually active.
HAHA what a mess I made of that misconception..


Well I have never been to planned parenthood and I don't plan on going for any reason.

I don't plan on having children or having sex for the rest of my life so it don't matter haha.

that from...... Whatever are they teaching them in AussieLand...

Haha oh gosh. Ok well there is no age limit to get them done in Australia. But they advise you do it when you become sexually active. Whether you are 14, 15, 16 etc. They want you to do it as soon as you start sexxing cos cervical cancer can be spread through penetration (ew, isn't sex so foul?)

I guess Australia really is crazy haah I got no idea what they're teaching us here...
