My pony Shadow

This is my pony, shadow shes a very dark bay shetland pony, shes adoreable but bites quite alot! I look after her saturdays and the holidays, shes the best pony in the world, and shes only as big as up to my hips lol!

Im buying her loads of her own stuff at the moment, so all her tack will be colur-co-ordinated in grey and pink, I love her to bits and she makes me feel better and shes something to focus on she says hello!

My first horse was a shetland pony! Damn little guy used to buck me off at LEAST once a day. Maybe that is why I am so hard headed! LOL

Grey and pick is awesome!

I used to do blue and turquoise for my tack.

aw shadows enemy is another shetland, shes called molly and she is my friends, and molly is always bucking the kids off its funny but bad at the same time lol! blue and turquise sounds nice, i considered it but i prefer girly colours lol maybe turquise and pink would be nice for another colour scheme, i could swap

Well they were actually not always, sometimes they were, together like I said, it was just one color sometimes, but they were always hand made by my grandma.

I was a rodeo queen a lot, so I always got custom made stuff when I had shows, it was awesome! That was after my pony though, lol. When I got a quarter horse.

The turquoise was kind of like the color on here.


It is funny about being bucked off, when I have more time, I'll have to tell you about my "Famous" being bucked off story.... My family still talks about it, LOL

I forgot to you do gymkhanas or anything like that?

wow, rodeos, i love AQH's theyre amazing! never ridden one though lol! ooh tell me what happened? ive never fell off properly, i always hang on *blush* no, ive never done anything like that but im going on a 2hr boxing day hack where we gallop and jump and stuff, and im learning to jump courses which is fun, hopefully next year my stables will do more shows again(theyve done them in the past) and i'll ask if i can ride in them i love jumping little fences now!

Oh you should totally do AQH, or gymkhanas! My friends from when I was a kid and my sister still do them, I see their comments on my Facebook all the time and I get teary eyed, I'm so jelous. They are so much fun.

lol, falling off properly, I don't know if I've ever done that. I have some horror stories also, some broken ribs, concussions, ha ha, I tried to break a mare..... Not a good idea.
And once my saddle came loose and she ran up against the arena and my head kept going bang bang bang against it, till I fell off.
( I rode bulls also when I was a kid though, so I was used to it)...
Okay I'll be back to tell the pony story....

LOL, I've never heard of a 2 hour boxing day hack? is that something new?

they do look amazing, much more energetic than my soppy ponies at my stables lol! theyre cool but so used to being kicked and tugged by learners *sigh*

ouch! ive never broke anything, or fell off, like my mum sais it must happen one day but i dont really care, so long as i can keep riding lol fingers crossed! bulls? id never ride one of them, i have got onto my shetland before, and dave, hes like, 11HH? thats about it, i used to ride a shetland when i was 6 cant wait to hear it!

yeah, its something my stables are doing, basically the day after chrismas some of us girls are going in to get our horses from the field, we'll feed them, muck out, groom, tack up, then ride for 2 hours basically running around like mad in fields and jumping logs etc then when we get back we untack, sweat down and turn out, like the pony we're riding is actually ours i cant wait! we go through the nice open spaces near our stables, they never did it last year

That sounds like loads of fun. Here we used to go out all night on trail rides it was so fun, riding out into the sunset, bunking up on hay stack all night with our horses beside us... loads of fun!
