You know, I didn't vote and I wasn't excited about the election; but after hearing Obama speak it gives me a little hope for this country.

I was up all night and watched the whole thing as each state came in, and Mcains consesscion speech! I was so happy, just watching that Sarah Palin squirm and try to look humble and be a good loser was so amazingly satisfying (I'm not a cruel person, but I'm sorry, she's...just...arg...awful!)
Thank God Obama won. I think a lot of hope has been pinned on him, and I just hope he can now live up to some of our expectations and save America from, well, frankly the downward slope it's on, economically and otherwise. And, I 100% agree with you Done, women in Britian fought for years to get the vote for us, ok, there were some extremem measures, but, the men just didn't listen and after all the work we put in during WW1, it was the least they could do! We shouldn't take that for granted, I mean, it hasn't even been 100 years since women's sufferage, now I'm 18, in the next election I will be the first one down to these polling stations! But on a good note, America is getting better, didn't you have the biggest turn out since JF K's election in 1960? I really hope Obama lives up to what we need of him.
