Ok, a silly little problem I could use some help on guys.

My boyfriend told me the other day that his work are having a party and invited me along, he has been very depressed about his job lately but seemed so excited about it and naturally I agreed to go along,

The next day he told me it was hawaiian themed, and thought I'd be excited as I usually enjoy dressing up, but instead I got upset and refused to go.

You see the problem is there are some really attractive and confident girls that work at his place, and I can really see them turning up in very little and looking fantastic!

Don't get me wrong, normally I don't let things like this bother me, but I think its the fact that I don't know these people and my body image is so low right now.

I just don't know what to do, I don't want my body image to effect my life, and I don't want to let my boyfriend down, he has been so sad lately.

I think you should go and dress comfortably and confident. You don't have to go in a bikini and hula skirt... there are some very pretty long dresses/short dresses called "moo-moo"s the ladies in Hawaii wear.. very bright and colorful. If you have something like that you could wear that, go buy a plastic lei (lay) at the dollar store and get a pretty fresh flower for your hair... you can still go and be a part of the theme but you'll be more sophisticated! versus, uh... slutty? LOL!

ive already spoken to you about this, but you should only do it if you are really comfortable. wear what you are comfortable with. stuff the sluts. they will be having too much fun to notice you, so why should you waste your energies on them?

i know its easier said than done, but im sure you will have a great time you can always shout

I went to the party after all, ended up not dressing up at all, and although at first all the thin girls dressed in very little really got to me but in the end I didnt really care. I went home in an entire hawaiian costume which I stole off various people during the night!

My boyfriends boss kept trying to chat me up as well, it was so funny because he was so drunk!
He kept being mean about my boyfriend and asking him what I see in him so I turned around and said "he is really good in bed" and his boss went red and walked away...it was sooooo funny!!!

I had a great time so yey me, shows that you dont have to look like a slut to have fun right?
