Could this happen again?

for those who don't know i had a sezirue on 4th of july.. very long story. and sense it was my second sezirue i have to be on medication for the rest of my life.

i was put back on the same meds i was on when i was in the 4th grade. i had to take 3 twice a day and it made me very tired. (each one was 100mg so i was taking 300mg twice a day)

i was happy that i was put on a new med but. like i have told you guys it changed my aditude, and it was casuseing me to be stressful.

i made the dumb choice to stop taking it when i had like 5 pills left which i knew wasn't a smart move.

it's been about a month since i had been taking it caus emy mom lost the papers to get it refilled. we she found the papers and she bought home my meds.

now i'm afraid that i will go through the same stuff i did when i was put on it. i'm afraid that it will cause me to have anxity probs, it will change my aditude, and other things...

if it does do any of this i might bring it up to my mom or my counselor

You never know about the side effects medications can have on the body. Most of the effects they've listed on the medicine are only the ones that were experienced during the trial period. There can be so many others that they don't know about. If your experiencing bouts of anxiety it truely is best to let the doctor that perscribed you the medication, know. It very well could be a side effect from the seizure medication. Its always best to continue with the medication, than quiting without letting your doctor know; this is especially wise in your case because its detrimental to your physical health. Anything could happen, especially if it's happened before. Just an FYI, there are a few neuro medications that can also be used for mood stabilization. Here's a link to a medication I was on. it's called Lamictal. (click here) It's used for dual purposes; Bipolar One and Epilepsy (seizures). I thought you could just use it to find some information... Take Care and Stay Safe!

I would definitely talk to a doctor or your counselor before you do anything.

Yeah, it's best to let the doctor who percribed the med know whats going on. I never experienced that side effect, but I don't know. Sorry I couldn't help anymore!

Well, I am on Neurontin for a nerve disorder I have. I take it for tremors and nerve pain, but it is also perscribed in seizure pateints. It works great for me; I have no real side effects from it. But, just like Annihilate me was saying, you never really know how you'll react to something, everyone is different. If you start it again you will more likely than not go through the same things as before. But, if you stay on the meds, you could start to go back to normal when your body is used to it. But, that depends. Tell youor doctor it bothers you enough to make you not want to take it. If you tell them the risks out way the benifits, I am sure they will help you come up with a more affective treatment option.
