it's been....
so i think it's been about 10 or 12 days since i last drank any alcohol. i have been tempted to drink some but haven't

That's good Jon, I know you were concerned about drinking but that doesn't make you addicted or an alcoholic and it's good that you realized it COULD be problematic for you and you are doing something about it. It's so easy to get sucked into the disease in the pretense of "having a good time". Glad you're being aware. Good job!

thanks guys. there has been sme family drama in the house and i find myslef looking at the bootel of alcohol in my parents fridge and asking myself if its really worth it.

I've never had a problem with alcohol RC, but many in my family have.
I think the main reason I have never is because I learned at a young age to never drink for a reason or a problem I should say. That's when it can really turn into a problem even if you aren't an alcoholic you can turn yourself into one. If you are doing anything to cover up a feeling you've got to really be careful.
