Volunteers Needed for a Research Study on Self-Inj

Do you deliberately injure yourself?

We invite you to share your experience by participating in a quick online study to learn more about why people engage in self-injury. The purpose of this research is to understand the factors related to why people who self-harm do and do not seek help. The results from this study are completely confidential and cannot be linked to your identity, and all procedures have been approved under the ethical guidelines set by the American Psychological Association.

You must have a history of intentional self-harm/ self-injury/ self-mutilation, and be 18 years of age or older to participate in this study. Upon completion of the entire study, you will be able to receive a summary of the results.

I just want to confirm the validity of this research project and encourage those of you to help out with the survey. There is very little research in the area of self harm and I think it's a good cause to contribute to. I look forward to the results in hopes that something can be determined from it all in helping those who struggle with self harm issues.
