Im curious too, do you have an accent? Lived in Nevada my whole life. This town was named the Armpit of America, but I dont think it is anymore. (I still concider it to be haha) I found this site to be the best, it cracks me up. (It makes fun of the town) http://www.cse.unr.edu/~mees/bmsite/index.html

Lmao. Armpit of America? Why was it called that? o_O
Personally, I prefer Kenya because I like the wildlife and less city-ish type places, I also have family there (we visit). Although it may be a more poverty prone place, it doesn't take away from the people. And yeah, I've been told I have a slight accent, not as strong as if I would have lived there for a longer time though.

Oh wow! Kenya! That's cool.. Not to be stereotype like, but there are a lot of good runners there right? I think it is there that a lot of the runners here win marathons.
What is it like there? How is it different or the same do you know? Sorry to be so ignorant, I'm just clueless.

Kenya is beautiful, at least to me it is. There aren't as many cities as I've mentioned before, so there is a lot of open landscape with savannah grass (tall grass) with large trees that stand out because the ground is yellowish from the grass and the trees leaves are a vibrant green. It's somewhat mountainous too. There's safari's you can go on, but, that's kinda touristy. If you sit out long enough in a place with no towns around it or anything, you're going to see some elephants probably (they're amazing). Giraffes too actually, especially if cattle are near by, for some reason they like to be around cattle..Yeah, I won't lie, there are tribes, but not everyone is a part of a tribe as some people may think. Lots of people farm for a living and sell their crops at local markets, my aunt does actually. Then there is Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, which is very industrialized and looks like a regular city in the US. By the southeastern coast there are beaches and things like that..it's definitly different though xD Here, I got some pictures from our last trip: My Aunt's little set up in the market: ![]() Kisumu, Kenya: ![]() Landscape: ![]() I have some other pictures, if you want to see them, you can ask me, I just don't want to post them all because the post would be huge then..so yeah, there's my super long explanation :] ![]()

Actually, I take that back about the elephants, it's incredibly easy to see some, they walk across dirt roads and stuff right in front of you <_<
I was looking through my pictures and I found this one and I forgot I had it! ![]() That's like the best picture I've ever gotten of an elephant :] They don't seem to care much that you're there unless you're part of the Maasai tribe which spears elephants to show masculinity >:[

Im fascinated, really. I love pictures and stories. One of our really good family friends went to Africa/ Kenya for a month a year or so ago, and the pictures and her stories are so like, I dont even know the word, they're so great. How often do you visit? Lol, lots of questions, but I just think its so neat!! :]

Nah, I've never taken a safari, they can be like $75+ a person D;
I wish I could though. Although I've seen a lot of the wildlife without going on the safari, so it's all good :] And yes, the sunsets are freakin awesome. Maybe it has something to do with Kenya being on the equator? I really don't know.. xD

There's ways around the safari part though if you know where to go. Tourists don't know where they are..and it's all new to them, they don't know that if you go out far enough from the city/town/village or whatever, you'll see what you came for! Haha.
