So, in the past 6 days I've put in over 70 hours. I get up at 4:30, go to work, work all day, come home around midnight, sleep for 4 hours, wake up and do it again. Basically. Now that I have today off ... I don't know what to do. They told me not to come in today so that I could get stuff ready to move. Well, I was still up at 4:30, and now I have everything ready to move. Besides the computer that is. What the hell is there to do outside of work? I don't get it. I really don't. I WANT to go to work. I don't have a life outside of work anymore. I seriously can't wait until we go south and get to work 16+ hours a day, 7 days a week for months on end. Ugh. There is something not right with me. I swear. People are supposed to love their day off. I don't, I hate it with a bloody passion. I don't know what to do when I'm not working. Working is all I know anymore. And all my friends are now from work. So work is like my social time as well. It's when I get to see everyone. I also work my ass off. But I LIKE my job. I mean, I damn near love my job. My general foremans are all really cool. All the crews are pretty decent. There are a few linemen that irritate the hell out of me. But oh well. Most of the line foreman are cool as hell. And I don't have to put up with bull**** or drama. I'm literally one of 3 chicks. The one is cool as hell and the other is never around. So there's virtually no drama. It's nice. Not to mention, that when I can tell my General Foreman to go **** himself when he's being a complete dumbass, it's really nice. *sighs* I just want to go to work already. Life outside of work officially sucks.

I dont know...you could bring Ben to meet his idol Dr. Phil hahaha. You should try to get together with Eric outside of work. And you can still hit that asshole creep that wants to date you with a bottle you dad says its okay! haha. And I agree working is fun when you like work. Outside of work all you do is sit around and do nothing, so why wouldn't work be better? And when you move downtown you'll have more to do, with all the shi* they have there. are you going to anymore shoots this summer? thats a life outside of work.

I'm moving about 70 miles away. Right into downtown Detroit. I'll actually be closer to work ... but all that means is that I can work more and travel less. I think I am going to try and get together with Eric outside of work ... but I can't do that until we go South. Because his crew is already down there. I'd get together with Rachel, but hell, I've been so busy at work that I haven't seen her since Friday anyways. We haven't had to go to the yard she works at. And Ben is no longer speaking to me after last night ... so that counts him out. Shooting ? Yeah, that was my life. But since I've been working through the weekend I haven't had time for that either. So shoots are kinda out now. Derby's used to be my life outside of work, but I haven't even had time for those. I think I'm getting together with Ryan sometime this weekend to go out and have coffee and talk a bit. *shrugs* I really don't have a life outside of work ... how the hell did I do that ?! But on the bright side of things ... I've been so busy/wore out I haven't even been drinking. I had A beer the other night when I got home from a 16 hour day in 95 degree weather. And that's it. I could barely finish that one.

Meh well screw ben jen. He's all "omg commitment lets get married!" anyway. tottaly oppisite of you. and if he's not talking to you just because you don't want to make a commitment (why WOULD you ANYWAY) then screw it.

I should tottaly come down south and find you haha that would f'n rule. and be so bad we'd like...man I dont even know.

And good! I'm glad working is makeing you not drink! Hell work is GOOD for you.

Ryan! How is he anyway? Is he over Jess yet? Hopefully he doesnt hit on you though being the rebound he seems like an awesome guy though.

You did it by not actively engaging in life. Things to do don't come knocking at the door, ya know,LOL! You have to go out and find them...
You spoke about Derby and shooting, (am I right to assume skeet shooting? LOL! ). Those are two hobbies that are fulfilling. Then, there are sports, swimming, gymnastics, volleyball, chess, musical instruments or voice, classes at the synogogue, church or mosque or at a junior college....and so very much more!
What have you always wanted to do?
When you were a little kid, what did you want to be?
These are some areas to explore when trying to decide what to try out for yourself. And remember, just because you try something doesn't mean you are stuck with it forever. If you take up tennis, and don't like it after 6 months, drop it and try something else.
You've got nothing to loose; and your whole life to gain!

You know, it's funny but, I've never heard of anyone on their deathbed say, "I wish I had worked more."
Think about it.
This is your life..... live it!

That is a choice one makes every day. No one has to sit around doing nothing. What a banful exisitence.

It's not there isn't anything to do ... it's just I don't have TIME to do anything else. I literally wake up at 5 am, go to work, get home around midnight. Grab a bite to eat. Take a shower and go to bed. Wake up in 4 hours, and do it again. 7 days a week. Today is the rare exception that I have a day off again because I'm in the middle of moving. I did however actually have time to go out with Tim, Bone, and Ryan last night. Out to dinner that is. Then had to come right back and move more stuff. And after tomorrow ... I go back to work. How am I supposed to carry on a hobby or "life" outside of work ? Work is literally all I have time for.

And no, I don't do skeet shooting. I shoot civil war era guns in competition which is a weekend long thing. That I used to do basically every other weekend.

Demolition derby's was something I did on the other weekends and sometimes durring the week. But considering I literally work 7 days a week. When do I have time to do that stuff anymore ? ... I don't.

I don't mind working a lot, don't get me wrong. But all of my friends out side of work are getting pissed that I quite literally do NOT have time for them. I talk to them when I can. Which is at most once a week. Most of them also live hours away so it's not like I can just stop by and hang out for a little bit. They're now pissed at me that I'm working and not going to shoots as well. They're pissed that I'm going south and they won't get to see me for a month to a year or so. I don't know what to tell them anymore. I have to have a job ... I have to work ... and that requires giving up what once were my hobbies. That's how this job is. And I'm not going to pass up 2700$ gross a week. Yes, a WEEK. Granted I have to work 16 hours a day,7 days a week to make that. And it's damn hard work. But how can they honestly expect me to pass that up ?

Maybe when you get moved into the city and get settled into your new job, you can find a little more balance.

It IS serious money.
But, money cannot ever buy you happiness.
I'm looking at taking a hugh pay cut in order to work in a private school. It's a choice I am making. I will be able to survive on my pay, but, I won't be able to do the same things I do now. Why would I do that???
Peace of mind.
And to actually be able to TEACH, instead of babysit.
And to tell the school department for whom I work that I do not owe them my life 24/7. With the new requirements they are demanding, I will have no time for MY life.
But, you know what???
I do not live in order to work...
I work in order to live.
No one ever says, "I wish I had worked more," on their death bed. Think about that...

But I love work ... that's what you all don't realize. I absolutely love it. Not for the money. But for the people and what I get to do. It's the perfect job for me. And not only that, but work is also my social time to see friends. What's so bad about that ? I don't see anything wrong with that. It's just all my friends OUTSIDE of work that see a problem with it. I've already experienced a lot of other stuff. I guess if I worked for the money and the money only, I could see how it's bad. But I don't. Hell, I worked for 3 weeks with no pay just because I LIKED doing it that much. Why can't my "other" friends just chill the hell out ?

I do miss seeing you (talking to you same thing) I dunno why your outside of work friends are being ****s...just tell them to chill I guess. *shrug* I think work is good for you. I would love to work 14 hours at the job your at. And you talk about it a lot and you do seem to enjoy it. Soooo whatever most people don't understand that work=fun, maybe thats why your friends are being jerkish.
