Life Experiences To Help Others...

So to start off.. im gonna share my life in a nut shell.. hope yu learn a little more about me. And i want to know what u have to say.. dont be scared

So my name is amy and im 16 years old and currently attending highschool in grade 11.. almost done yay.

But okay.. my mom is a recovering drug addicted alcoholic.. never in my whole life did i think i would be saying that about my mom.. she always seemed so happy and so just perfect, like life was the greatest and there was nothing wrong.. well i guess yu cud say she lived a double life.. one life she was a mother, a lover, a daguhter, a friend, and employee.. but the other life she was a wreck, she was selfish and inconsiderate.. she was addicted to things that turned our family upside down. All of my friends in elementary school and grade 9 loved her.. "Awh.. Yur moms SOO cool" "I wish my mom was like yurs" and so on.. if only they knew what really went on at home.. alcohol was brought into EVERYTHING.. all family functions.. birthdays, bbq's, FAMILY nights.. and i really didnt think it was a huge deal at first yu know.. i didnt understand. And then it got really bad, we lost our house, my mom lost her job, we lost our family. I was taking care of my younger sister and hated it. Then my mom lost us. Didnt seem to bother her, which really hurt me. and then we went and moved with my step dad (psycho ) lol and that was honestly hell.. it was so horrible i was treated so bad.. notihng good came out of living there.. i had NO self esteem or self worth.. i had NO social like.. all of my friends were terrified of him.. it was the worst expereince of my life.. my mom was gone for about 4 years.. jsut when i needed her the most, i didnt.. i had no female figure in my life, nobody to look up 2, nothing. And then on June 9th 2004 she decided she didnt want to live the life she was living nemore.. i am now living with her, and going through this has made me see that EVERYTHING happens for a reason.. i went through what i did to make me as strong as i am.. to teach me.. and ive learned so much through this.. its unreal. So hard to beleive sometimes..
I want to share my story with others.. i want others to know that this life isnt only in movies and t.v, it does happen.. and its sucks.
I want to talk to people and make them aware that the actions they make today, MAY change their life forever.

Thank you for sharing your story... and I agree with you 100%...
I had a crazy childhood and really hated life most of the time, but it did make me stronger and I would not be me if it had happened any other way.
And today (thankfully) I think that I am pretty aokay...

Amy;
Welcome to soberteensonline!!!
You say;
"going through this has made me see that EVERYTHING happens for a reason.. i went through what i did to make me as strong as i am.. to teach me.. and ive learned so much through this.. its unreal. So hard to beleive sometimes.. "
What a wonderful attitude you have!
And that very attitude will sustain you throughout your life!
Yes, you've learned. Maybe more than you should have had to at this point in your life. But, you've grown from it!!
I know that, for me...well....I'm glad that I've learned what I have - even though I hate the reason I've had to learn from! Does that make sense to you?
I'm glad you made it here. I hope to see you often...
Shalom!

OMG!
What totally cool beans to hear from you!

I am sorry to hear your mom fell, but glad to hear that she is clean now.
I hate addiction and the powerful grip that it can keep on us... I will chant for your mom... and you.
Hey I hope we get to see more of you around here....
Great Big Hugs!!!!!
