((((Sally)))) I'm sorry sweetie... It REALLY sucks when someone does that and everyone is left trying to figure out the answers. Right now the best thing you can probably do is find ways to deal with and express your feelings. You and your friends can make a tribute to him, you can get together and make food and bring it to his parents house. You guys can write, draw, etc. something for him to remember him by, or you can plant a tree at the school. Be creative get together with your friends and think of stuff he liked, even just getting together and talking about him, will help. You will find yourself and your friends laughing and crying at the same time. Cutting yourself is only going to make yourself feel worse, and hurt the ones around you. You know, just like I know, it's only going to make you feel numb, and then it will make you feel distant from everyone, and just make everything feel worse. Use this tragic time and focus on how you can help someone else, how you can comfort a friend, help his parents, etc. In doing that you will also be helping yourself and you won't get caught up in yourself. I'm sorry about your friend sweetie. Talk to us anytime, we're here for you,

Oh Honey I am so sorry to hear your bad news.
My thoughts and prayers are going out for Bryce, his family and for all of his friends (you). I can't really add much to what Done has said, I think she is right on the money about this one, please do not be tempted to cut over this, it will not help. Trust me someday when bad stuff happens your first thought will not be to cut or harm yourself in any way. I have over a year sober from alcohol and there was time when it was my answer to eveything... good, bad, happy, sad. My husband was laid off his job yesterday and the thought of having a drink never crossed my mind, other than to realize that it was a blessing that it did not... it certainly would not have helped matters, that temporary numbness would have turned into a hellish nightmare. So chin up, feel your grief and share it with others who are feeling it to. Warm Hugs, Kellie |

Thats awful news hun, and the only thing I can say is dont keep your feelings in, the majority of people will be feeling the same as you so like done said get together and talk.
When a girl at my school died (she didnt kill herself tho) the school held a memorial service and people made tributes and things. I personally didnt know the girl (she was in a lower year) but I saw lots of art around the school dedicated to her and we had a band night for charity and I think the school put up a plaque and planted a nice tree. Something like that would be nice, if the school havnt already done so you could talk to someone about doing something? Its so terrible when something like this happens without any warning. My thoughts go out to his family and everyone that knew him including you hun. x |

thanks for the advice everyone. dont worry i wont cut myself over it. i promised alot of people i wouldnt. at school were all upset about him dying but it turns out he was playing the choking game to piss off his mom cuz they had a fight.
theres a charity at a store in the mall and part of the $ made goes to his family. they're selling t-shirts with one of his cute pictures and "bryce, youre always in our hearts." then it says his birthdate and the date he died(yesterday afternoon) alot of the people i know and i cried today when we talked about it. were just trying to get used to it. a few people have been abset cuz they cant get the strength to get out of bed or they cant talk well cuz they've been coughing and crying so much.

I'm proud of you for getting past the not cutting. I know how hard that is, I had a day like that myself last week. Sorry to hear about the choking game. Too many people are dying from that game. Maybe that is another thing you all can do, help get the word out that it's not a "game" that it is something that really does kill. Your doing great girl. You keep doing what your doing, and don't forget we are here for you.
