Welcome!
Hi all! Welcome to Sober-Teen's Anorexia and Bulimia Forum. This forum is dedicated to talking about a variety of eating disorders (specifically Anorexia and Bulimia), in addition to other health related topics.
I hope this forum is a place where we can speak openly about eating disorders, and other health related topics such as: dieting, body image, over-eating, and nutrition. Many teenagers are suffering in silence, and I want this to be a forum that breaks that silence, and encourages people to share their stories and experiences. Periodically I will try and post interesting articles and information that might be helpful. I encourage anyone and everyone who finds something interesting to post it up! I welcome everyone to the A & B Forum! -pedagogue |

For years, my eating has been weird. It doesn't really fit the description of anorexia or anything but I know it isn't right. Sometimes, all I do is eat. For hours on end. But every week or so, I stop. I starve myself for a few days. I'm also prone to sickness, although I don't make myself puke or anything. I think it's related to stress and stuff, but it's hard to control.

Hello icegirl and welcome. I think you said it best and have identified what's going on and it's very common. It seems you stress eat. Try to find healthier ways of dealing with you stress, like start a journal, when you feel triggered to grab food, write it down instead, get it all out of your head what is stressing you. There are different kinds of eating disorders. If it's causing a problem in your life then it's a problem. So I am here to help if you need to vent. I know for me just talking with someone else always helps. *hugs*
