Shana's Daily Eating Journal
Today I ate:
3 cup cakes 3 cookies 1/2 quart of Ben and jerry's ice cream 2 hotdogs with bun potatoes bolgon sandwich w/ chips chocolate cands popcycle(sp?) Need to be accounable for what I eat. Shana |

Shana have you ever tried writing what you are feeling before and after your eating?
Reflecting on the emotions we have when we eat sometimes can help a lot. Well, for me it did I should say. I used to have to journal when I was purging a lot. Anytime I did my therapist had me write about what was going on. When I was in treatments they always had us journal for 30 minutes after we ate. Usually for any of us with food problems it's not about food when we eat. Just a thought anyway, if you wanted to try adding what was going on when you have your meals. Good to see you today sweetie.

![]() I have found it helpful, whether dealing with my issues over abusing my body with alcohol, or working on the self-image of my body, to envision that my body is the Temple that houses my soul and spirit. If I value my spirit and the relationship i have with a higher power, I will naturally want to treat my body with love and respect and put healthy things into it. I also can't help but remember how ludicrous my life got with my alcoholism. I would be drinking large amounts of vodka, but worried about whether my drinking water was purified and my vegetables were organically grown... absurd... absolutely absurd. |

You got some proteins and carbs in you! That's good! Try less sweets and more fruits if you can buy them. The sweets will cause you depression!

TOday I had: 2 donuts bowl of cereal 2 cup cakes 2 bowls of noodles mashed pototaes marshmellows/chocolate and graham cracker That is all I had today today was a work day and a bonfire night for me. I know I need more protein. Stressed about financial aid for college this year love, Shana |

Here's another great site/message board that may really help you. It's the best eating disorder website on the web. Thanks Done with it. I check it out. I know it is not about food it is about other stuff in my life and right now I do not know what that is. That is why I am having a hard time getting control of this this time.

Yea, I've been there before, that makes it tough...
Are you journaling before and/or after you eat? That may help you figure it out. Could it be fear of the unknown? Your at that age of a lot of big changes. The unknown can be scary.....

TOday has been a long day for me and i Have ate a lot of junk today. Things right now I am sad, angry, worried. I went to my Al-Anon meeting tonight and it helped a little bit My grandpa is not doing good at all I am worried that if he dies my dad will start drinking again. My dad started drinking last time after his mom died in 1990. Worried about paying for school Angry that my parents want money from me for food when my parents are spending money on things that we do not need like a roof over our deak etc.. A friend of the member passed away yesterday morning. Prayers Please for my family and the Maylor family |

I am doing okay. My grandpa is doing about the same right now. I had counseling this week and it was emotional draining for me but it was good. Hit some deep stuff in me. I will share later.
I am off the weekend and my sister-in-law is in and she has not had the baby yet but soon. I am spending time with her. Love, Shana |
