Ever since I had a Thanksgiving meal my eating has been out of control. I have not binged but I have been starving myself. I eat maybe one meal a day. I am under so much stress. I went to counseling but it was one of the hardest sessions I have had. I was honest with her, but she suggested that I go to a support group for eating disorders. Has anyone ever been to one? I don't know if I want to do this or not. I have just been struggling so hard that I don't know what to do anymore.

Renee I have been suggesting the same thing to you for years.
Yes I've been to many, did I want to go No...... Was what I was doing working for me? No, so I had to change what it was I was doing and do things I didn't want to do. When the pain becomes to much that is when we are moved to change. I hope you listen to your counselor and continue to fight for yourself. Counseling and fixing ourselves is never easy....... I agree with Miss D, if you want to get better then yes it's hard to do but
I think it will be a great help to you so muster up your courage and go. It IS hard to work on ourselves very hard, but when you can't take it anymore then it's best to reach out for help. Please go. |

Thanks. I think I am to that point of the pain is getting too much for me. I have been dealing with this for 10 years now. My counselor is looking to see where there are meetings in my area. I am so scared to go, but also I have no better option at this time. I just need to find that courage inside of me.

Thanks. I am doing a little better today. I slept in and had breakfast. I just have to keep focused on one meal at a time and not the whole day.
